6 days, 5 nights
All Four
Star in city Hotels, A Fully Escorted Tour
Breakfast and Dinner Daily
The Province of Quebec is as close to Europe as you can get without all the hassles of boarding a plane, flying
eight hours overnight and spending thousands of dollars for the week. Travel Advisors International of Lincoln, Rhode
Island has put together a very unique tour of the only French speaking province of Canada. We will visit the two major
cities of Quebec City and Montreal. Quebec City is ranked among the world's most beautiful cities, the walled
part of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Treasure. This romantic city, which is also home to the
Provincial Government of Quebec is laden with history, shops, unique restaurants and cafes. You will have plenty of
time to "immerse" yourself in all of this!
After our visit to Quebec City we travel about
three hours south to Canada's cultural center, Montreal. This city is the second largest French speaking city
in the world. Few cities can duplicate its genuine warmth. The portion of the city known as the "Underground City"
contains more than 19 miles of walkways connecting shops, eateries and more. You will have time to stroll St. Catherine's
and Sherbrooke Streets while enjoying a chocolate croissant. In addition it is home to numerous museums and the
world famous Botanical Gardens. And yes, this is a city for nightlife and gaming at the Casino of Montreal.
Just
four important items: 1) You will need a passport or some other item proving citizenship, please see below 2) You will
need comfortable walking shoes or sneakers, 3) You must remember to bring your "Appetite" because there will be
plenty of really good cuisine and lastly 4) there is limited availability on this tour so you will want to book immediately.
Here is a day by day itinerary of our six day tour of Quebec:
Jun 13- To the Eastern Townships
of Quebec and Woodstock, VT
Our group departs Lincoln, RI at 8AM via our deluxe rest-room
equipped motor coach, for the Eastern Townships of Quebec. We will make a stop in Woodstock, Vermont, for shopping
and lunch on your own. Woodstock has been preserved by the Rockefellars and is now a national historic site. You will
have time to visit the shops on the main street with its gas lamps or have lunch at some of the quaint eateries or the grand
Woodstock Inn. Afterwards, we will make a short stop at Queche Gorge, the "Grand Canyon" of New England for
a photo op. We depart at 3:30PM for the Province of Quebec, the Eastern Townships. Dinner and Overnight, Sherbrooke,
Quebec, Canada.
Jun 14- Quebec City and Free Time
After breakfast we depart for Quebec City. We arrive around the noon hour.
Lunch on your own and free time follows. You will have ample time to explore and shop the old lower city as well as stroll
the upper promenade with expansive views of the St. Lawrence and the City of Levis across the river. We assemble at the world
famous Château Frotenac Hotel to view the sunset over the St. Lawrence. Dinner follows with overnight in the Old
walled City of Quebec, Canada.
Jun 15- Quebec City Walking Tour and Tour of the
Isle of Orleans
We start the morning off with a walking historical tour of the Old City, the
Parliament Buildings and the fortifications of this historic city. If Parliament is in session, you might want to have
lunch on your own at the Provincial Parliament building or at one of the many outdoor cafes on the Grand Alle (it's
the Champs-Elysee of Quebec). We assemble at our hotel inside the walled city for a 1:30PM departure
for Montmorency Falls and The Isle of Orleans, which is the original site of the first colony of the French in North
America. Dinner follows, overnight Quebec City, Canada.
Jun 16- Montreal, The
Biodome, Free Time
After another lavish all American (yes, in Canada) buffet breakfast, we depart,
for Montreal. On arrival, about noon, we will visit the Montreal Biodome . Here you will
see a representative sample of the four eco-systems in Canada. Don't forget to wave to the Penguins. Shopping
at the Undergound City follows. Did you know, that Montreal survives the winter through a massive
underground city of shops, malls, hotels and rail stations? It's over 2 miles long and almost one half mile wide.
About 5PM we board our coach for a 5 minute ride to our hotel. Dinner follows at 7PM. If you still have a lot
of energy to spare, feel free to do some "clubbing" on St. Denis Street. The "Metro" is only one block
away from our hotel and Montreal is quite the safe city. Overnight, downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Jun 17- Montreal City Tour, Free Time and Suggested other activities
In the
morning we will enjoy a city tour of the highlights of this historic city. We will make stops at St. Josephs Oratory

point on Mount Royal. We will pass through Old Montreal, McGill University and the port area. Lunch follows

you may return to the Underground City for more shopping, stroll St. Catherines and Sherbrooke streets, or visit
the world famous Botanical Gardens with its' Japanese Gardens and 150 year old Bonsai Plants, or better
