SUPER CALIFORNIA TOUR
(9 DAYS, 8 NIGHTS)
DAY 1 ARRIVE SAN FRANCISCO
Enjoy your transcontinental jet trip west to America’s favorite city. While
en route you’ll see most of the country including the plains, the mountains and the desert. Upon
arrival you will be transferred to your hotel near Union Square of the Wharf. There’ll be leisure
time in the evening to ride the cable cars and walk around Union Square or the Wharf. Overnight- San Francisco
DAY
2 SAN FRANCISCO
After
breakfast you will board our luxurious, air-conditioned, restroom equipped motorcoach and meet the other members of the group
who will be traveling with us for the rest of the trip. You will enjoy a leisurely city tour of San Francisco
which will include Alcatraz Island, Twin Peaks, Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Golden Gate Park, The
Cannery, The Cliff House, the Golden Gate Bridge and many other parts of the famous 49 mile drive. Overnight- San Francisco
DAY
3 MUIR WOODS AND WINE COUNTRY
After breakfast we’ll travel about one hour north of San Francisco to Muir Woods the sight of the giant
redwoods. After leaving Muir Woods we will travel about 45 minutes to the wine country of the Napa Valley.
After having a light lunch we will visit two major wineries. Wine tasting (in the tasting room,
of course) will follow. We return to San Francisco late in the afternoon via the Bay Bridge to view the sunset and partake
in a group dinner in Chinatown. Overnight- San Francisco
DAY 4 MONTEREY/CARMEL/THE CALIFORNIA COAST/SAN SIMEON
After checking out
of our hotel we will travel about two hours to Monterey/Carmel where we will take the 17 mile drive with breathtaking scenic
views. En route to the 17 mile drive we will pass through Monterey’s Cannery Row and Fisherman’s
Wharf. After lunch and shopping on Ocean Drive in Carmel we will begin our trip down the coast through Big Sur Country.
According to many people this is the most expansive meeting place of mountains, ocean and sky in the world!
You’ll enjoy the spectacular views of the cliffs and the Pacific. We will arrive in San Simeon about 5PM. Overnight-
San Simeon or Cambria.
DAY 5 HEARST CASTLE/SOLVANG/ANAHEIM
We begin the day by taking Tour #1 of Hearst Castle.
This is the famous castle, which was built in the 20’s by William Randolph Hearst, 1600 feet above the sea.
Millions each year travel to see “The Enchanted Hill”. A special bus will take us to the top of the mountain
where we will be given a one-hour tour of the castle. After leaving San Simeon we continue down the coast
for about two hours and stop for about one hour at the Danish community of Solvang for lunch and shopping. We
arrive in Anaheim about 6PM. Overnight- Anaheim.
DAY 6 UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/HOLLYWOOD/LOS ANGELES
Today we will travel to Universal
Studios, where we will take the most famous tour in the world. We depart Universal at 2PM for a tour of Hollywood including
the “Walk of Fame”, Mann’s Chinese Theatre, the La Brea Tar Pits, Farmer’s Market and a one-hour shopping
spree on Rodeo Drive.
DAY 7 SAN DIEGO/TIJUANA MEXICO
We will travel south for about 2 hours to the most famous zoo
in the world…. the San Diego Zoo. Here we will board a special bus for a complete tour of
the zoo. There will be extra time to stroll around the zoo and view the famous Koala Bears.
About 2PM we depart for Tijuana. Since our motorcoach will not be able to cross into Mexico, we
will park at the border where you can board the Tijuana taxi for the five minute trip “downtown”. You’ll
be able to purchase Kahula, vanilla bean extract, leather goods and other Mexican souvenirs. About 5PM
we depart for Anaheim arriving about 7PM. Overnight-Anaheim.
DAY
8 DISNEYLAND
Enjoy
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and all the others at the most famous theme park in the world. If you’re
not tired by the end of the day, Knott’s Berry Farm is only ten minutes away and is usually open till 11PM.
Overnight- Anaheim.
DAY 9 DEPART FOR HOME
You will be transferred to Los Angeles International
airport for your morning flight home.
